The National Crime Scene Cleanup Association is filming 360-degree videos to virtually transport the members of public to crime scenes to witness its crew at work in an attempt to raise awareness and offer in-depth insights about its operations.
The series of videos will appear on the organization’s YouTube channel and shared on its website and social media pages, James Michel, CEO of Crime Scene Cleanup told VR Focus. They will also dedicate part of the website to these experiences and users will be able to explore the videos using JanusVR.
The videos on YouTube can be watched on mobile VR headsets, while JanusVR is a desktop-based application that works with the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive.
