Large virtual reality treadmill available for rent in Milton Keynes

The Transport Systems Catapult, one of seven technology innovation centers established by the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK, has opened aÂ â€œVisualisation Laboratoryâ€ in the town of Milton KeynesÂ where virtual reality technology will be used to help generate innovation and overcome problems in the UKâ€™s transport network.

The laboratory is built around the Omnifinity Omnideck6,Â a 6 meter (20 foot) wide omnidirectional treadmill paired withÂ an Oculus Rift DK2 virtual realityÂ headset that allows users to walk in any direction.

Businesses can rent the facility forÂ Â£500Â perÂ day, which includes technicians to configure and operate the floorÂ in addition to assistance withÂ integrating software and hardware and help with general trouble shooting.
